Über G&K
impressum

The G&K Bewegungstechnik was founded in Graz by camera assistant Michael Mikula and production engineer Hermann Weitlaner in 2001. Their intention is to exclusively work in the supposedly narrow field of GRIP since people in this branch have been saying that there is a lack of experts and good equipment in this field.

At the beginning, the GF8 crane was mainly used for ORF productions such as “Klingendes Österreich” or “Ins Land einischaun”. Since then, the G&K has succeeded in covering sports and extreme sports events. This marked the beginning of a partnership with the Carinthian production company PKM which has lasted up until today.

Peter Ehrenfried joined the team in 2002, and Wolfgang Kowald in 2003. In 2004, the G&K acquired the GF9 and the remote head PEE-POD 500 from A&C.

Today, our list of references includes productions such as “Wetten, dass...”, the Champions League, and “Sechs Tage und die Mopedfrau”, the all-time most successful cinema documentary shot in Austria.
